I used to ride a set of Vans all white og lowtops with slits cut in the sides. Worked awesome, thin, light, all around good shoe. But, I went to Ross the other day and saw a pair of the DC AT-2's up on the rack for $30... super cheap. They caught my eye because they are vented and use some crazy side mesh and bottom sole vent design to keep your feet cool while skateboarding. I threw em on and took the boat out and they are dope. Drain quick, super light, and they FLOAT! Which is way nice. I reccomend em.

My opinion is that some of these bargain clearance skate shoes are better than the supposedly purpose built wakeskate shoes

Nice, I was about to say I hope you didn't order the yellow pair. Do you think you could take a picture of the bottom vent that TahoeTerror was talking about? Also let us know how they are vs. water.

you can see the vent in the second picture, it's in the gray "circle", look closely and you can see my countertop through it, I did want the black and yellow pair because of where they are headed but they didn't have them in my size
